Model: HO gauge. The Büssing classic is reminiscent of the boom time for oil heating. At veterans‘ meetings, the Büssing BS 16 L is a real demonstration of sympathy for the former Braunschweig truck builders. In keeping with the sign of the lion, the last large front-control vehicle from Büssing production also arrives at Wiking. It was miniaturized and designed based on the classic model by Bruns, who at the time transported the boilers for the booming oil heating systems and delivered them to plumbing companies. Introduced in 1967, the long-distance version received a raised driver’s cab in 1968. When Büssing was majority-taken over by MAN in 1971, the BS 16 L had only been in series production for four years. The BS 16 L represents the late 1960s in terms of shape and technology – a young timer and characterful long-distance truck.
