The fire brigade in Issum’s Sevelen district received a new modern building complex in 2022, which meets the demands of the voluntary fire brigade for a modern infrastructure. The one-storey building for the administration area, changing rooms, workshops and technical rooms, as well as a vehicle hall with five parking spaces, was built on a 4000 square meter area. A state-of-the-art, 14-metre-high training tower is available for the training and education of the emergency services. The building was commissioned in August 2022. The fire brigade is only 300 meters as the crow flies from the Modellbahn Union production facility in Issum. That’s why we were particularly happy to develop this local building true to detail and to scale as a laser cut kit. During the implementation in the model, we were supported by the architect Berthold Grüntgens and fire engine leader, municipal fire inspector Ludwig Boemans.
