HO Tunnel boring machine Gripper-TBM

Model: HO gauge. With 4,200 kW through the mountain. Premium model of a »Gripper-TBM« tunnel boring machine including back-up, invert segments and geared motor based on a model from HERRENKNECHT AG from Schwanau. With the eponymous grippers, laterally extendable hydraulic cylinders clamp the tunnel boring machine to the tunnel wall. Hydraulic jacking cylinders steer the route with pivoting movements and apply contact pressure to the drill head. With a rotating cutting wheel, it breaks rock chips out of the rock, which are transported away via scrapers, channels and a conveyor belt. Rock stabilization during tunnel expansion is carried out using various machines, for example for attaching reinforcement mats and rock anchors, assembling stabilizing steel arches or removing test bores for advance exploration. On the back-up of the Gripper TBM there are conveyor systems for removing the rock, additional drilling equipment for attaching rock bolts, devices for the concrete lining of the tunnel tube and the installation of supply facilities as well as various lines, transformers, pumps, equipment containers and control units. Last but not least, the back-up provides the building materials required by the Gripper TBM. 42 invert segments for lining the tunnel floor and a geared motor, Art. 180722, for rotating the drilling shield are included in the scope of the kit. The connection is made to a maximum of 5 V direct current. A supplementary set of trailers for Gripper TBMs with additional trailer variants is available separately.
