Model: HO gauge. Finished model made of plastic, painted and printed. In order to improve agriculture, the GDR Council of Ministers decided in 1962 to develop a new tractor. With the target of 100 hp and a tractive force of 14,000 kN, the tractor was to achieve the „world’s highest“. The first functional model of the ZT 300 was then available for extensive tests in 1964. In 1967 the ZT 300 was tested by the central test center for agricultural engineering in Potsdam-Bornim by Dipl. Ing. Erwin Stieglitz and in July 1967 the tests were completed with positive results. With the ZT 300, the chief designer, Dipl. Ing. Reinhard Blumenthal, and the team from the Schönebeck tractor factory have developed a modern, high-performance tractor that went into series production that same year. At the beginning of the 1980s there were a total of 35,000 ZTs, which were not followed until 1978 by the improved ZT 320/323, which went into series production from 1984. However, since he did not receive any significant innovations apart from the appearance, the connection to the world scale was lost.
